10 easy ways to get traffic to your blog and make more money

I have spent quite a few hours in the past week studying up on blogging and how to get more traffic to your sight. There are so many resources out there its amazing! A few basics that I learned and that I am working on are:
1. Find a good topic in your niche and research keywords related to that topic to write on. Use those keywords in posts and articles.
2. Apply for Google Adsense after you have at least 5 posts.
3. Once your blog has some decent content submit it to the major search engines.
4. Visit other blogs in your niche and post comments on them.
5. Backlinks are VERY important and you should put in sufficent effort to place these out there.
6. It is a good idea to link to other blogs in your niche that get high traffic. This will make otheres link to you.
7. Make Squidoo lenses about your topics and traffic will flow to your site.
8. Write articles on your niche and submit to various sites, making sure to link back to your site.
9. Post in forums that allow your site URL in your signature.
10. RESEARCH RESSEARCH RESEARCH! The more you kow about your niche the more you will look like an expert and people will seek your knowledge!
